Loved this session. As a former president of a 700 member HOA and former Mayor of Ocean View, a well-run town, I can see both sides of the "small town equation of life" but in the past have had similar experiences and frustrations such as those you related here. BTW, I have a small journal of experiences as President of the HOA and Mayor which I will NEVER publish, but do revisit occasionally to remind myself that I'm not the crazy one.
That's the thing? Right?!?! Eventually you start to think, "Maybe it's me," but then something even kookier happens that restores your trust in your own sanity.
